What is included in a guitar setup?
A setup covers action adjustment, intonation, neck relief, bridge adjustment, pickup height, tuning stability, cleaning, and general playability improvements, so the guitar is comfortable to play and stays in tune.
How do I know if my guitar needs a setup?
Common signs are strings that feel too high or hard to press, fret buzz, notes that go out of tune higher up the neck, or a guitar that just doesn’t feel as good as it used to. Changes in season and humidity, or switching string gauges, are also good times for a setup.
Do you work on acoustic and bass guitars?
Yes. Collins Guitar Works services electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, and other string instruments.
What kinds of repairs do you handle?
Setups, fret work, electronics, nut and saddle work, maintenance, modifications, and practical repairs for anything affecting tone, feel, tuning stability, or reliability, plus custom projects. Get in touch and describe the issue.
What areas do you serve?
Attleboro, North Attleboro, Norton, Mansfield, Foxborough, Easton, Taunton, Sharon, Plainville, Franklin, Seekonk, and surrounding Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island towns.
